The Wike's Gift Shop Opens for Business

North Fort Myers, FL (PRWEB) March 20, 2008 -- Emma Wike has opened her new site at www.TheWikesGiftShop.com, fulfilling her dream of becoming a business owner. "For many years I'd been thinking about doing something like this from home," says Emma, who has been working since November to get the site active. "So far, I really like what I've seen."

Opened in honor of Emma's mother Lena Williams who passed away in 2006, the Wike's Gift Shop is the realization of Emma's efforts to become an online store owner. With thousands of products available in an easy to navigate format, she hopes that it will serve as a one stop shop for her customers. "I chose what I thought my customers would like," explains Emma, who went through the products carefully. "I'm diversified. To me, the items are very special -- I want something that I think someone else would enjoy."

To ensure that her items are chosen for her customers, Emma has implemented a blog at www.TheWikesGiftShop.net where her customers can give her feedback and request items that her site currently lacks. Says Emma, "I'm hoping that people will go to the blog and talk about my business, and I'd like to interface with them to find out what they like or dislike, and if there's anything I can change to make it more to their liking."

Emma also plans on discussing charities on her blog, and is currently making arrangements so that part of the proceeds of her sales goes toward cancer research.
